Charism

The charism of our congregation is a gift given by God to the Church. Our Congregation – endowed with this gift – was destined in the Holy Spirit to show people the Father’s merciful love.
The foundresses chose St Elizabeth as a model for their works of mercy, who was filled with the deep love of Jesus Christ and found her expression in the unconditional practice of poverty and renunciation. She wanted to make people happy and therefore recognised “our Lord” in the poor, the sick and those in need of help. Guided by the spirit of mercy, we are to see the needs of people and “give help to the sick and suffering wherever they may be” (Mother Francis).
